I don't know about you, but this is my lesson time and time again. The trigger is the decoy. It's what it triggered that needs to be dealt with. But in an attempt to cling a little longer, the egoic mind will always make us think otherwise in order to avoid the inevitable. Stay alert. Don't be fooled.
When I notice what I perceive causes my reactions rather than the reactions themselves, I miss the golden opportunity for self-knowledge, purification, and transformation.
