"Sthira sukham asanam." "Yoga pose is a stable/steady, free/easeful position." This sutra keeps opening up to me and then inspired today's message. I'm realizing that integrating this foundational principle in our asana practice calibrates the deepest levels of the psyche to move through the world in the same way. This ensures that our strength doesn't interfere with our flexibility and vice versa.
Stability without freedom is rigidity. Freedom without stability is recklessness.
